This area really starts at downtown Truckee and makes it's way from the River road that is running parallel with the river and downtown to South Hwy 89 that takes you to Alpine Meadows ski area, Squaw Valley USA and Tahoe City. This area is considered Nevada county until you get close to Squaw Valley.

Along this section of Hwy 89 headed south are many river front properties and parcels of land that you have to take small brides over the river to the homes. Tucked into the woods and on a river! If this is what you like- this is the spot for you. Fly fish from your yard. It is also less than 15 minutes to ski areas.
